Crime prevention, economic stability, and democratic participation are just some of Rochelle’s areas of interest. A globally recognized youth leader and education advocate, she currently sits on the City of Surrey Committee for Community Service, has worked for Parks and Recreation in Surrey. She was the CEO of a Surrey non-profit. She holds a Bachelors of Political Science from SFU, and a Masters of Education in Social Justice.
As Councillor, Rochelle will focus on:
- creating a Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council
- enhancing public safety through youth prevention programming
- developing technical and soft skills training for economic stability
